We invite people to come together (to convene) and share their experience on the effects of substance use and its impact in Travis County. Substance use intersects with environmental, social, and systemic challenges to impact a person’s quality of life. Accordingly, we want to learn about the programs, services, and policies that affect people living with substance use or in recovery.
Convene’s mission is to listen to members of this community so together, we can develop a solutions-oriented and sustainable action plan. This action plan will enhance how Travis County approaches substance use and ultimately promote its residents’ wellness. Convene will use the suggestions put forth by this collective of voices and the decision-making body (the Steering Committee) to deliver long-term change in the place we call home.
We are co-designing this plan with community members of all backgrounds. Convene welcomes anyone interested in how Travis County approaches substance use care, support, or services. The more people involved in this project, the more effective the action plan will be. Therefore, we need everyone to convene with us.
We recognize the importance of gathering feedback in many different ways. In addition to participating in the community conversations, we encourage people to share their feedback via this form.
This form is anonymous. You do not need to include any contact information to share your opinion. Your feedback will be used to help build the action plan.
